This workshop will be an introduction to natural dyes and dyeing techniques. We will be working with an array of seasonal botanicals, flowers, tree barks and vegetable scraps. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis is a PREMA field trip workshop to the GONE studio in Chinattown. \u003cbr\u003e*We will meet together at the GONE Studio* \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe night will begin with a candlelit meditation led by Amanda Harding to ground us and get us into our creative flow.. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThen, Kalen and her team will guide us to explore colors through water color papers, fabric swatches, and repurposing your own items. No experience is necessary. We invite you to bring three to four pieces of your old clothes\/textiles that have been buried in the back of your closet and in need for some TLC. Items need to be a natural fiber- silk dyes very well but cotton, linen, hemp and rayon will work too.
